Heart of America
The Heart of America Rugby Football Union was founded in 1967. Our member clubs are located in Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma. We have about 20 clubs that play at every level within the USA Rugby structure, including men’s and women’s club, college, and high school rugby.
The purposes and objectives of the Union are:
The promotion and administration of and the provision of education and instruction in the amateur game of Rugby Union Football in all its aspects, throughout the Union area.
Membership Categories
“Full Membership”-Full Membership shall comprise clubs (and individuals therein) situated within the Union area who opted to remain members after the formation of the Mid America Geographic Union.

About Rugby
Many believe that rugby was born in 1823 when William Webb Ellis “with fine disregard for the rules of football as played in his time at Rugby school, first took the ball in his arms and ran with it, thus originating the distinctive feature of the Rugby game”.
